Gloria Gurley Phillips, 55, of 921 Oriole Circle South, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 1995, in her residence.
She was a native of Wallace, N.C., and was an administrative assistant with NationsBank, Norfolk Center. She was a member of the Virginia Beach Shag Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Sheri L. Borek and Ginger K. Phillips; one son, Thomas P. Carey; two brothers, William R. Gurley Sr. and Charles L. Gurley, all of Virginia Beach; one sister, Nell Vandergroff of Lafayette, Ind.; two granddaughters, Holly C. Borek and Taylor J. Fenstermker, both of Virginia Beach; and one grandson, Bryan K. Otte of College Grove, Ore.
A graveside service will be conducted Monday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in the Maestas Funeral Home, Baltic Avenue Chapel, Sunday night from 7 until 8:30 p.m. and will be at 1280 Faulkner Road, Ocean Lakes East, Virginia Beach, 23454.
