Kathleen Umphlette Lewison, 53, died Sept. 19, 1995, in Janesville, Wis.
She was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Zuni, Va., the daughter of Sidney and Eunice Munford Umphlette. She graduated from the Petersburg School of Nursing and was a registered nurse. Kathleen married Eldeen Lewison on Feb. 8, 1964, in Zuni, and was a Methodist. Kathleen devoted her life to her family, friends, church and work.
Survivors include her husband, Eldeen Lewison; three daughters, Janell Schenpf of Waukesha, Wis., Julie Lewison of Madison, Wis., and Janet Lewison of Janesville; and two sisters, Joyce Neighbours of Windsor and Sharon Case of St. Louis, Mo.
The funeral was held Friday, Sept. 22, 1995, in Janesville. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetics Assoc., or to the Building Fund of Tucker Swamp Baptist Church, Zuni. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, provided local information.
