CLARA A. BOYD

Clara Amanda Boyd, of the 5400 block of Tidewater Drive, died Sept. 20, 1995, in her home.

She was a native of Wilmington, N.C., and was the widow of Solomon Boyd. She was a retired nurse's aide with Norfolk Community Hospital.

Survivors include three daughters, Saloma B. Jackson, Avis Boyd, both of Norfolk, and Clara M. Boyd of Charleston, S.C.; five brothers, Joseph Bryant, Wallace Olee Bryant, James Bryant Jr., all of Wilmington, Ivery L. Bryant of Richmond, Va., and Kenneth Bryant of Patterson, N.J.; two sisters, Janie Gibbs of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Doris Batson of New York City; a former daughter-in-law and devoted friend, Gwendolyn ``Copper'' Cherry.

The graveside service will be conducted at noon Monday in Hampton National Cemetery by the Rev. Anthony Moses. Family and friends will assmeble at Graves Funeral Home at 11 a.m. for the procession to Hampton. The family will receive friends at 1319 W. Tanners Creek Drive, Norfolk.
