Margaret Laverne Scott, 87, formerly of York Drive, died Sept. 21, 1995, in Bellevue, Mich.
Mrs. Scott, the widow of George Edward Scott, was a native of Bloomington, Minn. She was a former member of Cradock United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include three daughters, Elizabeth Carpenter and Sandra J. Orvec, both of Bellevue, Alice G. Burris of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; one son, John L. Scott of Portsmouth; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four children, George R. Scott, William C. Scott, Joan P. Moore and Margaret A. Reynolds.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
