James Thomas Mann, 47, of 6093 Old U.S. 421 Road, died Saturday morning at Wesley Long Hospital.
A native of Portsmouth, Va., Mr. Mann was an A & P mechanic and an avionic technician. He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin F. Mann Sr.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda M. Mann; a son, Christopher James Mann of Liberty; his mother, Florence Powers Mann of Chesapeake; and brother, Benjamin F. Mann Jr. of High Point.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Loflin Funeral Home, Liberty, with Hadley Robertson officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, N.C. Affiliate Inc., 3109 Poplarwood Court, Suite 125, Raleigh, N.C. 27604-1043.
