Beatrice Bogan Smith, born Dec. 21, 1931 in Bath County, Va., died on Sunday, Sept. 24, 1995.
She was predeceased by her father, Adam Whitfield Bogan.
Survivors include her husband, Elwood L. Smith; a son, Jeffrey B. Smith; two daughters, Marsha S. Hamilton and Debra S. Elliott; her mother, Beulah S. Bogan; three sisters, Louise B. Crocetti, Lois B. Night and Mary B. Broce; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Her remains rest at Joseph W. Bliley Funeral Homes' Chippenham Chapel, 6900 Hull St., Richmond, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Mount Hermon Baptist Church in Moseley, where she was a member. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Rustburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mount Hermon Baptist Church, 18100 Genito Road, Moseley, Va. 23120, Mount Zion United Methodist Church, Route 2, Rustburg, Va., or the Neurological Department at the Medical College of Virginia, 401 N. 12th St., Richmond, Va. 23219.
