WOODROW W. EFFORD

Woodrow Wilson ``Woody'' Efford, 82, died Sept. 24, 1995, in Chesapeake.

Mr. Efford was born in Salisbury, Md., and was a retired captain in the Army Corp of Engineering. He was the widower of Rebecca Iline Efford. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church in Norfolk.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty L. Altman of Chesapeake and Beatrice L. Walkinshaw of Va.; three grandchildren, Tommy Altman and Scott Altman, both of Chesapeake, and Lisa Walkinshaw of Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Tommy Altman III and Christi Altman, both of Chesapeake.

The graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Steven Frazier. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of the daughter, Betty Altman, 1109 CogLiandro Drive in Chesapeake.
