Helen S. Rama Zavada, 75, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 1995.
A native of Bowers Hill, Va., she had been a Peninsula resident since 1938 and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Mrs. Zavada is survived by two daughters, Margaret Z. Endress, and her husband, Charles, of Texas, and Marianne Zavada of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Edmund S. Zavada, and his wife, Eileen, of Newport News; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; a sister, Jeanne Archer of Great Bridge; one brother-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 8 p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church by the Rev. Michael Renninger. The interment will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul's Cemetery, Portsmouth. The family will receive friends Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. at the church. Memorials may be sent to either the Alzheimers Assoc. or the Lupus Foundation.
