John Francis Galuska Jr., 79, of the 900 block of N. George Washington Highway, died Sept. 26, 1995, in Chesapeake.
Mr. Galuska, the widower of Edna S. Galuska, was retired U.S. Navy, first class after 20 years in 1956. He also retired from N.A.R.F. in 1979 as a production controller. He was born in Maquoita, Iowa.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzann G. Swain of Portsmouth; two sons, John F. Galuska III and Fred J. Galuska, both of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Brian L. Swain and Rhonda G. Cox, both of Portsmouth, and Dawn B. Griggs of Zuni, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Tara Cox and Bahne Cox, both of Portsmouth.
All services will be private. Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel, in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family asks to please omit all flowers.
