I recently heard an attorney on a talk show say that in his experience, black jurors are very fair when judging black defendants.
I am a white woman. I have had the privilege of serving on four jury trials in recent years. My experience has been the same.
Black jurors, especially mature black women, are fed up with those of their communities who commit crimes. In my opinion, they are eminently objective and unbiased.
We do our black neighbors a disservice when we paint them with the broad brush of using the ``race card.''
