Gladys Mae ``Gaye Mowry'' Pebworth, 75, formerly of the 1200 block of Buckingham Ave., died Sunday, Sept. 24, 1995, in the Chesapeake Home for Adults.
Ms. Pebworth was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Gladys Winchenbach and Henry S. Pebworth. She was a retired real estate agent with Jock Hughes Realty and Miller Realty for over 30 years, and was a member of the Jewish Community Center.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda K. Joy and her fiance, Mitch B. Dijak of San Diego, Calif., and Sidney ``Joan'' Russell of Martinez, Calif.; a son, John W. Knight III of Orange County, Calif.; a sister, Dorothy P. Billmyer and her husband, Bill, of Chesapeake; three grandchildren; a niece; and three nephews.
Ms. Pebworth will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Cox Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Frances Truitt Moody. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norfolk S.P.C.A. or to the Arthritis Foundation.
