CORINE WHACK-SMITH

Corine Whack-Smith, 50, of the 200 block of North Division St., died Sept. 24, 1995, after a short illness in Obici Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Smith, a native of Nansemond County, was the daughter of the late William Whack Sr. and Ida Mae Olis Whack. She was employed at Ponds Bros Peanut Co. for five years. She was a member of New Paul's Temple Holiness Church, Suffolk, where she was a member of the Senior Usher Board and the Senior Choir.

Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Smith; two daughters, Annette Williams and Pamela Williams, both of Suffolk; one son-in-law, Michael J. Williams of Suffolk; two sisters, Dorothy M. Giles of Washington, D.C. and Mildred Clemons of Baltimore, Md.; one brother, William Whack Jr. of Washington, D.C.; mother-in-law, Ineva V. Smith of North Carolina; and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday in New Paul's Temple Holiness Church by Elder Catherine Skinner. Burial will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 223 North Division St., Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home in charge.
