Arthur Kline Griffin, 70, of the 1800 block of Buckhom Drive, died Sept. 29, 1995, in his residence.
He was a native of Nansemond County and was the son of the late Joseph Cephas Griffin and Mallie Virginia Johnson Griffin. He was a farmer and a member of Western Branch Baptist Church, Suffolk.
Survivors include his wife, Sara Saunders Griffin; four sons, Thomas Kline Griffin of Chesapeake, David Arthur Griffin and his wife, Karen, of Walters, William Gregory Griffin, and Edwin Wayne Griffin and his wife, Jennifer, all of Suffolk; three sisters, Edna G. Beale and Virginia G. Cross, both of Newport News and Katherine G. Morris of Sun City, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Byron McCreary and the Rev. David Jendrey. Burial will be in the Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times at the residence.
