Warren Stackhouse Bates, 54, of the 1000 block of W. 47th Street, a chief engineer with Academic Television Services at Old Dominion University, died Sept. 24, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Bates was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and a resident of Norfolk since 1960. He was also a partner in International Communications Corporation.
Survivors include his father, Walter Earl Bates of Browns Mills, N.J.; a sister, Nancy B. Thornton of Swarthmore, Pa.; and a niece, Christine Keir and a nephew Darren Keir.
A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, by the Rev. David La Salle. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
