Joseph J. ``Joey'' Peters, 37, died Sept. 29, 1995.

Joey was a native of Norfolk and a resident of Jacksonville for over 15 years. He attended J.J. Brewbaker Academy High School in Norfolk and was a graduate of The University of North Florida. He was a self-employed owner of J.P. Productions Printing Company and will be remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor and ability to make people laugh.

Survivors include his parents, Mary Ann and Bernard Peters of Virginia Beach; his fiancee, Laurie Norton of Jacksonville, to whom he was to wed on Oct. 16; six sisters, Suzanne Stansfield of Virginia Beach, Diana Partin of Jacksonville, Patricia Stansfield of Chesapeake, Cathleen Short of Tappahannock, Va., Jane Frostick of Chesapeake, Jean Martin of Norfolk; two brothers, James J. Peters of Chesapeake, John B. Peters of Fresno, Calif.; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
