Clara Mozingo Jolly, 87, of the 5700 block of N. Ottawa Road, died Oct. 1, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Jolly was born in New Hope, N.C., and was a Baptist. She was retired as a sales clerk from Wainwright Pharmacy.
Survivors include her husband, Hubert Jolly; a daughter, Frances Barwick of Norfolk; a sister, Bela Newsome of Goldsboro, N.C.; a sister-in-law, Ruth Langston of Goldsboro; a daughter-in-law, Betty Garris of Pompom, N.J.; four grandchildren, Frances Foster of Norfolk, Randy Garris, Lonnie Siemonsma and Ivan Garris, all of New Jersey; nine great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews who loved her. She was preceded in death by her son, Leon Garris; three sisters, Emma Moye, Sue Herring and Ada Belle Hill and three brothers, Edward Mozingo, Henry Mozingo and Benny Mozingo.
A chapel service will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Virgil Whitehurst. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday for visitation.
