Robert Earl Barlow, 56, of the first block of Oregon Ave., died Friday, Sept. 29, 1995.
Mr. Barlow, a native of Russell County, Va., was a retired truck driver. He was a member of Bacon's Castle Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a member of the VFW.
Survivors include four daughters, Bonnie Lee Kiltz of Mechanicsville, Va., Penny B. Saunders of Rocky Mount, Va., Melissa Ann Barlow of Mechanicsville and Kimberly Quinn Barlow of Chesterfield, Va.; a friend, Meg Salmon of Portsmouth; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 11 a.m. in Bacon's Castle Old Brick Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jimmy Acree officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, Oct. 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, and suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Bacon's Castle Baptist Church Building Fund, 86 Bacon's Castle Trail, Surry, Va. 23883.
