FRANCES B. SIMPSON

Frances Bolz Simpson, 74, of the 300 block of Chandler Harper Drive, died Oct. 1, 1995 in her home.

Mrs. Simpson, a native of Portsmouth, was the daughter of the late Franklin A. and Anna Caviness Bolz. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and the Richard Dale Women's Club.

Survivors include her husband, J. Herbert Simpson; two sons, James Herbert Simpson Jr. and his wife Linda of Portsmouth, Steven Gregory Simpson and his wife Bonnie of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, James Herbert Simpson III and Ashley Nicole Simpson. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian David Simpson. Other survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Harry Weiseman; a brother, Alvin Bolz; and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Roderick Triplett.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Baker-Foster Funeral Home, Bennett's Creek Chapel, and other times at the residence.
