Mary Lena Saunders Musgrave, 83, of Marian Manor, died on Saturday, Sept. 30, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a retired registered nurse, having served as a school nurse in the Norfolk public schools. At her retirement she was an office nurse for Dr. C.N. VanHorn. She was born in Lynchburg, Va., and was the daughter of the late Gertrude Nathalia Ryan and Emmett Odneal Saunders.
Mrs. Musgrave was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a graduate of Holy Cross Academy in Lynchburg and of St. Vincent DePaul Hospital School of Nursing in Norfolk. She also was a member of the Alumni Association of DePaul Hospital School of Nursing.
Survivors include her husband, R. Linwood Musgrave Sr.; two sons, James R. Musgrave of Lynchburg and Reuben L. Musgrave Jr. of Silver Spring, Md.; three sisters, Nell S. Magri and Helen S. Moseley, both of Lynchburg, Va., and Margaret S. Goggin of Elk Grove Village, Ill.; two brothers, Dick and Neal Saunders, both of Lynchburg; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Fr. John Dorgan. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at their Marian Manor residence, 5345 Marian Lane, Apt. 204, in Virginia Beach. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
