IVA M. MANNING

Iva Maebelle Manning, of Virginia Beach and formerly of Route 1, Axton, Va., died Sept. 30, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Mrs. Manning was born July 4, 1899, in Drexyl, N.C., to the late John Jasper Roper and Margaret Williams Roper. She was a housewife and was of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of the late Luther L. Manning.

Survivors include four daughters, Norma Manning Logan of Maydon, N.C., Juanita Manning of Virginia Beach, Betty M. Mason and Barbara M. McHan, both of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one son, Charles L. Manning of Kingstree, S.C.; two sisters, Mary Roper Barrett of Winston-Salem and Willie Lee Roper Bowman of Hickory, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

A service will be held in Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1995, with the Rev. Virgil Soots officiating. Burial in Roselawn Burial Park. Visitation will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Roselawn Chapel.
