Annie Hudson Baker, 59, of the 100 block Glenrock Road, passed away Oct. 2, 1995.
She was a retired secretary for Phil R. Hobbs Grading and Contracting. She was a native of Jamesville, N.C., and was preceded in death by her husband Otis Lee Baker. She was a member of Kempsville Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and she was a member of the choir and was a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice B. Doss, and son-in-law, Bruce N. Doss, of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Frances H. Gamel of Virginia Beach, Peggy H. Collins and Mary H. Holland, both of Norfolk; and one grandson, Stephen N. Doss of Virginia Beach.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday by Dr. Kelly J. Burris and the Rev. Michael Turner in Kempsville Baptist Church, 5204 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. Entombment is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at Smith and Williams Funeral Home today from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and at other times at 408 Troon Chase, Virginia Beach.
