WALTER J. MACKEY

GMC Walter J. Mackey USN (Ret.), 75, died Oct. 1, 1995.

He was Chief Petty Officer for the U.S. Navy for over 21 years. He was also retired from civil service after 15 years. Mr. Mackey was a native of Ashland, Ala. and he was a Baptist. He was a U.S. Naval Veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Irene O. Mackey and his sister, Brozene Temple of Panama City, Fla.

A graveside service will be conducted 3 p.m. today by the Rev. W. Hyman Vann in Rosewood Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, in charge of arrangements.
