Carrie Mae East, 75, of Irving Bluff Road, died Sept. 29, 1995, in her home.
She was a native of Portsmouth and was the widow of Reginald C. East Jr. She was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church, Shreveport, La.
She is survived by her daughter Mary Lynette Shamburger of Sterling, Alaska; three sons, Reginald C. East III of Tehachapi, Calif., Ronald D. East of Gila Bend, Ariz., David L. East of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. Frank Carter. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m.
