A body found Monday afternoon in the Elizabeth River by a tugboat operator has been identified as of a Portsmouth man missing since Friday.
John K. Britt, 70, of May Street, was found near the Norfolk Harbor at 12:20 p.m., said police spokeswoman Amber Whittaker.
Britt and 50-year-old Robert Barlow were due back from a fishing trip Friday night. The U.S. Coast Guard started searching for them early Saturday. Barlow's body was found Saturday near Craney Island.
Whitaker said an investigation into the accident is continuing. by CNB
