BANK CHIEF NAMED

The East Carolina Bank Board of Directors has named Arthur H. Keeney of Baltimore, Md., as the organization's new president and chief executive office. Keeney holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Hartford and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

He has more than 20 years of senior-level commercial banking experience and worked most recently as Executive President of Signet Bank headquartered in Richmond.

Keeney is married to the former Alice Morris of Morehead City. They will make their home in Engelhard. by CNB
