June Porter Hubbard, 63, of the 100 block of Navajo Trail, died Sept. 30, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Portsmouth and a nurses aide who worked mostly with geriatric patients. She was a member of Alexander Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include two daughters, Deborah L. Beal of Southampton County, Va., and Alicia A. Holmes of Merritt Island, Fla.; two sons, William H. Ames IV of San Antonio, Texas, and the Rev. R. Timothy Ames of Durham, N.C.; one brother, Dr. Curtis T. Porter of Kansas City, Mo.; one half-sister, Mary Virginia Bonsack of Aulander, N.C.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Alexander Baptist Church by the Rev. Tim Ames and the Rev. John Burr and Dr. Curtis T. Porter. The family will receive friends at the church at 10:15 a.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alexander Baptist Church. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, is in charge.
