Blanche Glass DeJarnette, 97, of the 1900 block of Holland Road, died Oct. 3, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. DeJarnette, the widow of Richard Preston DeJarnette, was a homemaker born in Halifax County, Va. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Beatrice D. Twine of the home, Mildred D. Piland and her husband, Raleigh Piland Jr., of Suffolk, Barbara D. Holland and her husband, Paul, of Suffolk; two sons, Waverly E. DeJarnette and his wife, Louise, of Nathalie, Va., Franklin D. DeJarnette and his wife, Anita, of Suffolk; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Alex and Amelia Glass. She was predeceased by two sons, Jennings B. DeJarnette and Alex T. DeJarnette.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hill Funeral Home by the Rev. Dr. Merle D. Correll. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today and other times in the residence.
