George W. Swink, 83, of the 2000 block of Elbow Road, died Oct. 2, 1995.
He was a retired driver for Railway Express Co. He retired from there in 1976 after 30 years of service. Mr. Swink was a native of Norfolk County and was a member of Community United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Jennings Swink; sister, Alice Swink Credle of Englehard, N.C.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Dr. Keith Almond and the Rev. Charles L. Cassidy in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Burial is in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
