Patricia Geraldine Wilhelm Wilson, formerly of Norfolk, Bayview Area, lost her courageous war with lung cancer on Oct. 1, 1995, at 9 a.m. in Park Plaza Hospital, Houston, Texas.
A graduate of Norview High School, she attended Norfolk Business College. At Norview High School she participated in many activities and for four years was a lead majorette for the high school band. She participated in many community activities and was a girl scout counselor in the Virginia Beach area. She was also a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, National Cutting Horse Association, American Brahman Association, and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Association. While in Texas, Geraldine was an avid breeder of American Quarter Horses and Brahman Cattle and devoted herself to the pursuit of breeding and training of cutting horses.
She was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Gurley L. Wilhelm. Gerry is survived by her husband, Raymond Wilson; two daughters, Marline Edmonds and her husband, LeRoy of Webster, Texas, Laura Wilson of College Station, Texas; her brother, Sidney Wilhelm and his wife, Ruth, of Chesapeake; two grandchildren, LeRoy Ashley and Dina Bailey Edmonds of Webster.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday in Eastminster Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society or The American Lung Association. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel.
