STUDENTS EVACUATED

About 250 students at Deep Creek Middle School were evacuated Tuesday morning after a backhoe punctured a natural gas line about 100 feet from the building.

No one was injured.

Fire crews inspected the building and nearby portable classrooms and gas crews stopped the leak. The students returned to classes after about an hour spent in the school's stadium.
