The Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, Suffolk Division, has selected George E. Eure and Robbie H. Eure, brothers who farm together in the Somerton area, as the Outstanding Farm Family for 1996.
A luncheon will be held in their honor at noon Nov. 1 at the Bethlehem Christian Church. The keynote speaker will be Solomon Whitfield, deputy director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture and a Suffolk native.
The public is invited to the annual event, which recognizes the contributions of the agricultural community to the economy of the city, state and nation.
