Richard Allen Porter, 36, died Oct. 3, 1995, in his residence.
He was a member of Nansemond River Baptist Church and worked as a night auditor for a hotel. Mr. Porter was a native of Portsmouth.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Lota Walker Porter of Chesapeake; sister, Anne P. Johnson of Virginia Beach; four brothers, Thomas Porter of Chesapeake, Colby Porter, Paul Porter and Roger Porter, all of Suffolk; maternal grandfather, C.A. Walker of Beckley, W.Va.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m Friday by the Rev. Timothy L. Piland in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Loving Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
