Sam Norville, 76, of the 700 block of 34th St., died Sept. 30, 1995, in a local hospital.
Mr. Norville, a retired laborer from Smith and Douglas Fertilizer, was born in Pitts County, N.C. He was a member of Abyssinia Baptist Church, Norfolk, and the usher board.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Gladys Goff of Norfolk, Eva Blount of New York; one daughter-in-law, Carla G. Norville; one son, Sammy E. Norville of Norfolk; one sister, Blanche Artis of Durham, N.C.; one brother, John Norville of New York; one granddaughter, Carla Y. Norville of Norfolk; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Abyssinia Baptist Church by the Rev. Frank Guns. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Chatman Funeral Home in charge.
