Diane D. Hyman, 41, of 1100 block of East Pembroke Ave. died Oct. 2, 1995, in Portsmouth General Hospital.
She was a native of Hampton, Va., and was a member of Park Place Baptist Church, Hampton. She worked as a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mrs. Nannie M. and Fulton Gatewood.
She is survived by one daughter, Theodora Mitchell of Newport News; two sisters, Miss Theresa Gatewood of Hampton and Miss Patricia Gatewood of Newport News; brother, Mr. Fulton Gatewood Jr. of Newport News; sister-in-law, Mrs. Gail A. Gatewood of Newport News; two aunts; two uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Newport News, by the Rev. Marion D. Reaves. Burial is in Pleasant Shade Cemetery. Viewing begins today at 7 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. The family will line up for the service at noon. Applewhite Funeral Home, Suffolk, in charge.
