Shirley C. Cox, 57, of the 900 block of Blair St., died Oct. 2, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Mrs. Cox, a retired real estate agent, worked for Ted Nettles Realty Agency for three years. She was employed at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 20 years. She was born in Corain, N.C., and was a member of Centennial Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include her husband, Richard A. Cox; five daughters, Marsha Parker, Ronda Ruffin, Tammy Marsh, Robin L. Morrison and Iris Holloman, all of Portsmouth; one son, Ricky Holloman of Portsmouth; one brother, Thomas W. Casper of Philadelphia, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; a step-daughter, Valerie Cox of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. She was pre-deceased by a son, Kenneth Holloman.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. F.R. Williams. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery.Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 3 p.m. today.
