EUGENE C. ROBERTSON

Eugene C. ``Gene'' Robertson, 58, of 3713 Wood St., died Monday, Oct. 2, 1995, in his residence.

He was a native of Suffolk, Va., and was the son of the late Eugene C. Robertson Sr., and Frances Shackelford Robertson Umphlett. He was a retired salesman for Radio Shack in Moundsville, W.Va., and had managed the Radio Shack in Franklin, Va., for five years before moving to West Virginia. He had also served three years in the Virginia National Guard. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, Wheeling. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty F. Robertson, February 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann Coss Robertson; one daughter, Vickie R. Daughtry of Boykins, Va; two sons, Jerry E. Robertson of Sedley, Va., and Spec. Timothy L. Coss, U.S. Army, Fort Drum, N.Y.; sister, Phyllis R. Cash of Windsor, Va; three brothers, Ira J. Robertson of Buffalo Junction, Va., Allen Robertson of Suffolk, and Bruce Robertson of Portsmouth; his step-mother, Martha G. Robertson of Portsmouth; and several grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. J.D. McCormick, the Rev. Victor Hunter, and the Rev. James T. Dunn. Burial will be Antioch Christian Church Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday night from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and at other times at the home of Lyle and Phyllis Cash, 22078 Garrison Drive, Windsor. Memorial contributions may be made to Obici Memorial Hospital, Hospice Unit, 1900 North Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434.
