In some editions Wednesday, reactions to the O.J. Simpson trial

verdict, written by Norfolk Commonwealth's Attorney Charles Griffith

and defense attorney Andrew Sacks, were switched. They are being

rerun today on Page A8.

Also, the byline was missing on a column about local television

coverage of the Simpson trial. The column was by staff writer Larry

Bonko.

A Metro News story last Thursday, about laser beams used to

detect underground contamination, said that Langley Air Force Base

was the first base in Virginia to use the new laser technology.

However, this equipment was first used in June, by the Navy, at the

Craney Island Fuel Terminal and the Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
