No wonder the unemployment rate is so high! You have to be willing to give up your life 24 hours a day to work at a minimum-wage job. I have applied to more than 25 retail stores and grocery stores, and all of them say they are Equal Opportunity Employers. Are they really?
No! They have no opportunities for mothers who can work only Monday through Friday during school hours. Should a mother have to give up quality time with her kids? No! What a shame it is that employers can't see this need and do something to change it. I'm sure I speak not only for myself but for other mothers who have been looking for a job and are well-qualified but are turned down because they cannot work nights or weekends. America should wake up!
