Mary Luke Stevens Batten, 105, died Oct. 2, 1995, in St. Petersburg.
Mrs. Batten, the widow of Leo Thomas Batten, was a native of Shiloh, N.C. She was a member of Portsmouth Christian Church and Eastern Star Chapter (NU)36, Portsmouth, where she was its past worthy matron in 1920-21.
Survivors include two sons, Armin R. Batten of St. Petersburg, Dr. Hubert E. Batten of Fayetteville, N.C.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Olive Branch Cemetery by the Rev. William Sleasman. The family will receive friends at 23 Byers Ave., Portsmouth. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, in charge.
