Muriel A. Monroe, age 66, of the 400 block of General Gage Road, died Oct. 5, 1995, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Mrs. Monroe, beloved mother of three, was born in Norfolk.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Landry of Edgewater, Md., Edward Monroe Jr. of Virginia Beach, and Tracy Monroe of Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mildred Vitasek of Chesapeake and Rhea Coleman of Ocala, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Linda Monroe; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews, including Rhea Ennis; and friends, most especially Patricia Hurd and Katherine Hurd, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, 1995, at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Bruce Tuttle. The family will receive friends at 505 West Farmington Road, Virginia Beach, Va. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road, is handling arrangements.
