TREAT CRIME LIKE CRIME

In the Sept. 25 article on auto theft (MetroNews), a detective says that most (juveniles) just get a slap on the wrist in court.

Well, I say, ``A slap on the face - and a few other places'' to the irresponsible, mamby-pamby judges who let these cretins back on the street.

Do judges lack the judgment to know that these kids are often unlicensed, and that cars kill far more people than all murder weapons combined?

Yes, reformatories are crime schools; but what does one call gangs, drugged parents and TV?

Our governor wants to lower the driving age to 15! As a former driver-ed teacher, I strongly feel the driving age should be raised to 18, except for driving to work.

The Nazis and Reds never fired a shot on our soil - but we're losing our freedom to criminals. When will the politicians wake up and pass some serious, realistic laws? We are fed up!
