Jarvis R. ``JR'' Anderson Jr., 46, of the 2400 block of Chesapeake Circle, died Oct. 6, 1995, in Chesapeake after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Anderson was born in Goldsboro, N.C. He worked for E.M. Walker Trucking Company of Suffolk, Va. He was predeceased by his father, Jarvis R. Anderson Sr., and his grandmother, Doshie Ellis.
Survivors include his mother, Margie Anderson of Chesapeake; four sisters, Barbara Mott, Jean Burger and Juanita Ballance all of Chesapeake, and Sylvia Daniel of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother, Gerald S. Anderson of Chesapeake; three daughters, Debbie Tinker and Susan Anderson of Kettering, Ohio, and Heather Anderson of South Mills, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; one grandson; and a couple of very close friends, Sammy Gardner of Suffolk and Tommy Lawrence of Chesapeake.
A funeral service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Francis A. Gay Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Penny Wilson. Burial will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 5 until 6 p.m. and at other times at 2415 Chesapeake Circle, Chesapeake.
