Clementine Massoud Akoury, 85, a native of Allipo, Syria, and a Norfolk resident of 61 years, died Friday, Oct. 6, 1995, at her residence.
She was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Artis, Yvonne Wolf, and Theresa Akoury, all of Norfolk, and Margarite L. Burns of Williamsburg; four sons, Chuck Akoury, Joe Nemie and Julius Nemie, all of Norfolk, and Eddie Nemie of Chesapeake; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanette Caldwell.
A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Father Julian B. Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorials may be made to Mother Theresa's Sisters of Charity, 335 E. 145th St., New York, N.Y. 10451. Arrangements by W.J. Smith and Son Funeral Home, Newport News.
