GUSTAV A. WENDT

Gustav Adolph Wendt, 68, of 2028 Stoneyview Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995.

He lived in Henderson County for the past six years and was a former resident of Chesapeake and Rome, Ga. He was a retiree from both the U.S. Navy and General Electric. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5206, American Legion Post 77, The Boy Scouts of America and The Hendersonville Opportunity House. He was an avid bridge player. He was of the Lutheran faith.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Alice McMahan Wendt; three daughters, Cindy Osgood of Chesapeake, Trudy DeLoatche of Virginia Beach, and Karen Lerman of Hackettstown, N.J.; two sons, Robert J. Wendt of Decatur, Ill., and Richard D. Wendt of Atlanta; a sister, May Belle Anderson of Cleveland, Ohio; and seven grandchildren.

He will be remembered with love and affection by family and friends.
