MARIA J. THEODORAKIS

Maria Margaret Jones Theodorakis, 83, of the 400 block of Carolina Drive, died Oct. 9, 1995, in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.

She was a homemaker and was a native of Franklin, Va. She was the widow of Stamatis ``Sam'' John Theodorakis and a member of Greek Orthodox Church of the Annunciation, Norfolk.

Mrs. Theodorakis is survived by two daughters, Irene Zervos of South Field, Mich., and Fotini Wagar of Hudson, Fla.; eight sons, Guss Theodorakis, Billy Theodorakis, both of Murfreesboro, N.C., Mike Theodorakis of Steubenville, Ohio, Nick Theodorakis of Raleigh, N.C., George Theodorakis of Lake Waccamaw, N.C., John Theodorakis of Greenville, N.C., Jimmy Theodorakis of Clayton, N.C., and Jerry Theodorakis of Richmond, Va.; three sisters, Velma A. Sleeper of Holiday, Fla., Vashti Hawa of Richmond, Katie Korahaes of Norfolk; brother, James A. Jones of Hampton; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Murfreesboro United Methodist Church by Father Savas Constantinou, Father Charles Goumenis, and the Rev. Phillip Glick. Burial is in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, Va. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, tonight from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Murfreesboro Rescue Squad or a favorite charity.
