Helen V. Hughes, 77, of the 900 block of Chumley Road, died Oct. 9, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.
She was a native of Rocky Mount, N.C., and was the widow of Earl W. Hughes. She was a member of Park View Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
She is survived by three daughters, Jill Cinquegrani, of Portsmouth, Connie Albright of Chesapeake and Sandra Warren of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by Dr. Robert V. Forehand. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
