ALICE H. WYNNE

Alice Hodges Wynne, 85, of 116 Riverside Drive, Bennetts Creek Landing, died Oct. 9, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

She was a native of Portsmouth and retired from the Portsmouth Naval Hospital as a medical transcriptionist. Mrs. Wynne was a member of Monumental United Methodist Church, member of Tidal Wave Church Chapter (NU)9 Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the Beazley Senior Citizens Club.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph W. Wynne; son, J. Warren Wynne Jr. of Suffolk; two sisters, Nancy H. Wynne and Elizabeth H. Kremer, both of Portsmouth.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Raymond H. Edmonds Jr. and the Rev. Beverly Watkins in Monumental United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, is handling the arrangements. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 p.m., and at their home at other times. They suggest memorial contributions be made to Monumental United Methodist Church, 450 Dinwiddie St., Portsmouth, Va. 23704.
