Carl James Coleman, 52, of the 500 block of Lavender Lane, died Oct. 8, 1995, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
He was retired from the military after 22 years of service. He was a native of Opelika, Ala., and a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria R. Coleman; four sons, Sean L. Johnson, Carl J. Coleman Jr., Craig D. Coleman, and Jason J. Coleman, all of Virginia Beach; parents, Elma and John Coleman, both of Florida; brother, John H. Coleman of Florida; five grandchildren; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake, with full military honors. Family and friends will assemble at the home at noon Saturday for the procession to the chapel. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
