Irene Smith Don, 74, of 427 Mexico Road, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 1995, in Chowan Hospital, Edenton.
Mrs. Don was born in Sharon Springs, N.Y. She was a retired receptionist and telephone switchboard operator with Palatine Dyeing Company.
Surviving are her husband, William C. Don; son, Jose H. Rodrigues of Geneva, N.Y.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Carl (Marilyn) Black of Kennesaw, Ga.; one step-son, Lawrence C. Don of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Rodrigues.
Funeral services will be private. The family asks that flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Edenton-Chowan Rescue Squad. Miller Funeral Home, Gatesville, is handling the arrangements.
