USAir Group Inc. said Monday it is offering savings of up to 40 percent off normal prices for travel in nearly 850 transcontinental markets. Tickets must be purchased at least 14 days in advance and are good for travel completed by March 7, 1996. A Saturday stay is required. Prices range between $408 and $498 for travel on off-peak Tuesdays and Wednesdays and between $448 and $548 for travel on all other days. USAir is also offering round-trip discounts on tickets purchased seven days prior to departure for travel completed by March 7.
